Vite, our travel guide
Vite is a guidebook born from of a bicycle trip between the Euganean and Berici hills, during which we visited eleven natural wine producers.
Vite is not just a book but a means to raise funds for Addolciamo l'autismo, a pastry shop, near Treviso, where people with autism work. The guide can be purchased online directly here or in some bars and natural wine stores that have decided to support the initiative.
In Consilia, we are very connected to our territory. So, we decided to make ourselves useful by giving something back to the community
Consilia, passion for cycling and natural wines, Addolciamo l'autismo
We were inspired by the charity initiative of a famous cycling apparel brand that aims to raise funds to support families with autistic people. Also passionate about cycling, we organized a fundraiser to benefit Addolciamo l'autismo, including among the rewards a guide dedicated to natural wine producers in our area.
Vite, first issue
In the Vite guide we discuss what is meant by natural wine today and tell the stories of eleven wineries through interviews with the winemakers and the selection of one wine from each of them. The wineries we have chosen adopt farming and winemaking techniques with a reduced environmental impact and stand out for their attention to the territory. At the end of the guide we recommend four routes to do by bicycle, complete with description and downloadable GPS track.
A result that is good for everyone
We took our guide to wine shops and bars, participated in events and festivals, always with the goal of obtaining donations for Addolciamo l'autismo. To date we have raised €6,000. In November 2022 we were invited by the Embassy of Italy in Athens to present Vite at the inaugural event of Color del vino / Οίνοψ, a project developed by Myth Euromed with the support of the Embassy during the 7th week of Cucina Italiana nel Mondo. The wines we feature in Vite came with us to Greece, for a wine tasting that allowed the wineries to make themselves known in a new market.
